“Torture in Healthcare Settings”

7 Mar 2014

Mauro Cabral shares the compilation ‘Torture in Healthcare Settings’, which reflects on the report of Juan Mendez, the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, the first document of its kind to include, in a clear and decisive way, the medical management of intersexuality in its mandate. This is a historical account and not only includes intersex issues, but deals, with the same decision, with the torture in medical contexts that people with disabilities face, drug users and sex workers suffer. The various items included in this compilation dialogue with the report, expanding its terms, projecting the future. Click here to read it.
