International Campaign’s letter to WHO on medical abortion

19 Feb 2019

Dear Expert Committee on the Selection and Use of Essential Medicines,

We were very glad to learn that the WHO Maternal and Perinatal Health & Preventing Unsafe Abortion Team has submitted an application to modify the listing of mifepristone-misoprostol on the Essential Medicines List (EML).

On behalf of the International Campaign for Women’s Right to Safe Abortion, with more than 1,360 members in 125 countries, we are writing to you to express our full support for this important evidence-based change to the Model List of Essential Medicines.
