SPW is very pleased to announce that SexPolitics: Reports from the Frontlines launched in 2007 is now available in Spanish – Políticas sobre Sexualidad: Reportes desde las líneas del frente . This e-book is the result from a global research project initiated in 2004 to examine the dynamics of sexual politics in eight countries – Brazil, Egypt, India, Peru, Polonia, South Africa, Turkey and Vietnam – and two global institutions: the United Nations and the World Bank.
Though the cases reflect great contextual differences in theme and emphasis, common threads have clearly emerged from the research outcomes. Firstly, local and the global sexual politics dynamics are always intertwined. Secondly sexual politics is always on some level about power. The cases reveal that both research and political activism is needed to further an agenda of change that brings together social justice and erotic justice.
If you want to receive a CD ROM copy of the e-book, please write to us at email@example.com , informing your physical address and indicating if you want to receive the English or the Spanish version or both.
The Spanish version, Políticas sobre Sexualidad: Reportes desde las líneas del frente, has also been printed and a restricted number of copies is yet available for distribution. In the course of this year a new edition will be produced and you will be informed about it.
