Anand Grover calls on all countries to abolish criminal laws that control women’s reproductive freedom

On October 24th, 2011, Anand Grover, Special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, presented a ground-breaking report before the UN General Assembly.

The report courageously calls on all countries to immediately abolish or suspend any criminal laws that seek to control women’s reproductive freedom, autonomy and decision-making with regards to their sexual and reproductive rights.
