International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) + 15

This year (2009) marks the 15th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) and reminds us of the five years remaining to fulfill the commitments made at Cairo. Because of this, the theme of the 42nd Session of the UN Commission on Population and Development was  “The contribution of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development to the internationally agreed development goals, including the Millennium Development Goals.” The meeting was held March 20 –April 3, 2009, in New York.
